Naturopathic Medicine
Naturopathic Medicine is a primary health care profession focused on prevention and the use of natural treatment options to promote healing. The primary goal of naturopathic medicine is to address the root cause of an illness rather than treating or suppressing the symptoms. Naturopathic Doctors (ND) work in partnership with other regulated healthcare providers to ensure that patients receive the most effective care possible. ND’s are the only regulated professionals in the field of natural medicine in Ontario. They are extensively trained and have at least seven years of post-secondary education. ND’s treat anything from the common cold to chronic illness with Clinical Nutrition, Herbal medicine, Homeopathic medicine, Traditional Asian medicine and acupuncture, and physical therapy and lifestyle counseling. An initial visit is two parts at Align. Each visit is 60 minutes in length. Physiotherapy
Physical therapy (or physiotherapy), often abbreviated PT, is a health care profession which aims the physical treatment and management of disease or condition which enables people to reach their maximum potential. Physiotherapists are primary healthcare professionals who diagnose and treat individuals of all ages, from newborns to the very oldest, who have medical problems or other health-related conditions, illnesses, or injuries that limit their abilities to move and perform functional activities as well as they would like in their daily lives. Physical therapists examine each individual and develop a plan using treatment techniques to promote the ability to move, reduce pain, restore function, and prevent disability. In addition, PTs work with individuals to prevent the loss of mobility before it occurs by developing fitness and wellness-oriented programs for healthier and more active lifestyles, providing services to individuals and populations to develop, maintain and restore maximum movement and functional ability throughout the lifespan. This includes providing services in circumstances where movement and function are threatened by aging, injury, disease or environmental factors. Functional movement is central to what it means to be healthy. Physiotherapy is covered by most Extended Health Care Plans.

Certified Athletic Therapists, CAT(C), assess injuries and conditions, uses contemporary rehabilitative techniques, therapeutic modalities, soft tissue mobilization, stretching, exercises, and supportive strapping procedures to promote an environment conducive to optimal healing. Athletic Therapists use a variety of skills to create a rehabilitation program suited for each individual. Whether you have an active lifestyle or an injury that affects your daily routine, an Athletic Therapist can be of help to you.

Massage therapy is also beneficial for preventing injury and improving athletic performance.

Corrective Exercises
We teach our patients’ special "blueprint" exercises designed just for them to help strengthen and correct their own unique problem. These exercises can be performed in the comfort of your own home and can improve the effectiveness of your spinal correction by as much as 30-40%.
