I felt compelled to build a career in chiropractic care after I was in a car accident and began seeing a chiropractor for treatment. I remember thinking that this was the most thorough exam I had ever received from a medical professional, and felt confident that I would recover.

After a full, speedy recover, I was enthralled with the notion of “health care” to keep well, as opposed to “sick care,” the care we tend to seek out after we are already injured or sick. As a high level athlete at the time, and now an avid runner and CrossFit athlete, it makes sense to work at staying well, as opposed to waiting until you’re sick and having to work hard at getting back to wellness. There’s a shift happening, and people are seeking out alternative healthcare options for their family; they’re looking for daily practices that have long term effects.

I’ve always had a sense of ownership over the word “health.” My life revolves around the mission to be as healthy as I can be, and to help others follow suit. I fully believe when a person reaches their best health state, that is when they can truly thrive. You cannot be at your best if you are not taking care of your health. I want to be the lead person in my patients’ lives, giving them a foundation of health to build from, and taking them as far as they want to go.

There’s a feeling you get – a desire to be well – as soon as you walk in the doors at Align. Patients know they’re looked after. And I want them to understand how good they can feel, what true wellness is. You really don’t know until you’re there. You may think you live a healthy life, but there’s always potential to take it to the next level.
