Massage Therapy

Contrary to popular belief, we don’t believe achieving a Zen state of mind is the ultimate goal (or even the best part) of a massage. Massage therapy brings benefits that go well beyond relaxation, helping to improve circulation, reduce pain, and aid in detoxification.

Although massage therapy is a powerful tool in reducing physical and emotional stress, our approach to massage therapy involves a variety of techniques and modalities. We work to find the source of your pain or discomfort, leaving you feeling both relaxed and ready to conquer whatever comes your way.

Relax Your Mind, Heal Your Body

We believe massage is about more than dimly lit rooms and relaxation soundtracks – it’s the ability to turn over a new leaf of health. Creating a welcoming and relaxing environment is still important to us. But so is the conversation you have with your practitioner before you get under the covers. By taking a detailed history of your pain and discomfort, health concerns, and lifestyle, your massage therapist will develop a treatment plan that will not only help you reduce stress on the table, but also in your everyday life.

Our Approach

Massage therapy improves the function of the body’s connective tissues and muscles by using manipulative techniques to encourage natural healing abilities. It can also help prevent injuries and improve your athletic performance by distributing nutrients throughout your body, decreasing muscle recovery time, and reducing stress. Our talented RMTs use a wide-range of techniques, including modalities like cupping, to move blood through the body, inviting new life into damaged, tense muscles.

Cupping Therapy

Cupping is a non-invasive ancient technique first used in Traditional Chinese Medicine that has been adopted as a therapeutic massage technique. Silicone cups are placed on the body to create suction over specific areas of tension and can be moved around for a deep tissue massage. Ask your therapist to add cupping therapy to your next massage appointment!
